Hi everyone! So we are in 大寒 Daikan (Greater cold) season. We shall remain here until the day before Satsebun, that means the 3rd of February. Good news is that in just a few days, in the north hemisphere, the energy will tip to “Yang”. This means that in the cicle of contraction/expansion, we will start to slowly shift into this fabulous force of awakening. You will not notice yet because it will still be super cold, the coldest in fact, but it is there, just round the corner; spring. Yeeeeeah...! Bet many are longing for it.
So here, a haiku by Shiba Fukio (1903-1930), that illustrates a winter feeling for you. It reads:
